About us

The Garden Route eisteddfod was formed in 2019 with the dream to give dancers in the Garden Route area the opportunity to participate in a modern and industry based eisteddfod in their own region. After a successful first year the eisteddfod expanded to open vocal and drama sections in 2021.

In 2022 the directors of LLAB Communications (Pty) Ltd excitedly announced that its subsidiary namely, The Garden Route Eisteddfod will be taking over the reins from the well-known and historical George Eisteddfod.

The Committee for George Eisteddfod decided that the George Eisteddfod would no longer continue, and consequently approached the organizers of the Garden Route Eisteddfod to ensure that the legacy of the George Eisteddfod continue.

In 2022 the Garden Route eisteddfod will welcome the following sections to the eisteddfod

- Drama

-Dance

-Vocals

-Instrumental

-Visual Arts

- Creative Writing

And hope to add many more sections in the years ahead.

"We are passionate about the arts in a beautiful region, rich with young talented artists, and hope to give them the opportunity to grow their potential and transition from eisteddfod work into the artistic industry and community of the Garden Route."

our vision
